Dechox: Giving Up Chocolate This Feb for the BHF

I hope a lot of you sympathise when I say I really am a full-fledged chocaholic.

So when I first saw an advert for Dechox on my telly, it was with slight guilt that I glanced down to the chocolate bar wrapper lying on lap, and I thought to myself, could I do that? No chocolate for a whole month? My first instinct was no. Sure, I don't gorge on chocolate everyday, but none - at all - for 28 days? My mind boggled.

Nevertheless, I couldn't stop thinking about the campaign. Not only is it for a fantastic cause - the charity, the British Heart Foundation - but it would benefit me, too. I wanted to test myself, and felt sheepish that giving up chocolate for a month seemed a challenge. Was I really that reliant on a quick sugary treat? How hard could it be to give it up, and mean I'm all the more healthy for it?
Following some research on the British Heart Foundation's website (which will be linked at the end of this post), I became entirely convinced. So I'm saying goodbye to chocolate for the duration of February!

Some info about the British Heart Foundation

Heart and circulatory diseases still kill 1 in 4 people in the UK. It is the BHF's aim to try and find treatments, cures and prevention methods of these awful diseases which can cause so much heartbreak across the United Kingdom. It's through donations that breakthroughs can be made to save lives and to protect and nurture our hearts!

The event lasts from the 1st to the 28th Feb. I wanted to both make people aware of the campaign, the charity and, if you're so inclined, the opportunity to donate through my JustGiving page! I'LL LINK IT ALL BELOW.

Please support this wonderful cause and as a result, me, as I battle to stay away from the chocolate this month... <3
