Holidaying.

Hello from Portugal!
You've probably noticed my blog has had a M-A-S-S-I-V-E makeover. Yep. So, the reasons for this is because I felt like faeriesque didn't really make sense to me anymore. It didn't convey what I wanted it to convey, if that's even a valid reason. Due to this, I was neglecting my blog, and blogging a lot less frequently. As you guys know, I love blogging, so as I felt like the blog and I didn't really "fit", it made the entire experience an anticlimax.
My solution was a clean slate. All of my faeriesque posts are still here (>Blog Archive), but the blog homepage and layout is virtually unrecognisable.
The reason why I decided on "moochy" was because I didn't want my blog to be complicated. "Moochy" was the first word that popped up into my head. Don't ask me why. Maybe it's because I like moochin', or simply because I have a tendency to do so. Anyway, it is what it is. I hope you like it and the new look as much as I do.

Moving on -

So, yesterday we journeyed to Praia de Luz, pronounced 'pray-uh duh loosh'. We are staying further away on the outskirts, so actually travelling further inland to take a look at the sights of the city was exciting. The architecture here is full of white stone and colours - pink, yellow, blue - as well as cathedrals and churches displaying features like arched windows and whitewashed domes. The majority of the streets are paved in diamond-shaped stones, small and fitting together like an enormous mosaic. Yesterday, we looked up to a rich blue sky clear of clouds, and managed to arrive early enough to be one of the few tourists present.
In the morning hours, the heat was pleasantly warm, though I still caked myself in suncream, knowing that my Scottish roots would come back to bite me if they had the chance. There's something about walking through dappled sunlight, unhurried and relaxed, that makes my mood rocket sky-high.

Anyway. I took a lot of photographs, and I've finally singled it down to a few that I really like (which is a huge accomplishment, considering the fact I took about five hundred), alongside the general scenery. You know the struggle.

 Here's my ever-patient brother.

This was a mirror reflecting a brightly-coloured Coco Cola billboard. A perfect opportunity to snap.

Looking over the cliffside. I apologise for the quality; I had to zoom, since I wasn't about to perilously clamber to the edge and potentially fall and break my neck. Look at that sea!

Afterward, we enjoyed some snacks in the nearby restaurants. Most food in Portugal here is cheap, homemade and salty. That's a winning combination if you ask me.
