It's been a little while since I've done a blogpost, and although it isn't an excuse, it's because I've been fairly busy and / or lazy recently. The busy part is due to purchasing a new saxophone, discussing a new arrival (all details coming soon...), homework and adventures. The lazy part is due to the fact that my Mac isn't synced to my phone, thus I have to email the photos I want to use, download them to iPhoto, then upload them here. It doesn't seem like much to do, and really it isn't, but when I'm sitting somewhere doing something else, the idea doesn't seem appealing.
Aside from my flaws on the laziness subject, I'm doing a blog post now, so yay.
As you've probably guessed by the (*magician-y voice*) all-revealing title, I'm doing an autumn-themed blogpost that will probably continue for a few more blogposts, because heck, autumn is a season and I have a lot of things to cover about my love for this time of year.
There are so many aspects of autumn I adore.
Although I could list many, I think these photos will describe it better than I could ever say.
This is a brief post and these photos are already on my Instagram, but I'm hoping to create a sort of Autumn lookbook (oh dear god, look at me with my fashion phrases like I have any style whatsoever...) which will mainly consist of autumnal colours and jumpers, leggings, jeans, boots, and my outfits. Alongside that, a Halloweeny-type post, my autumnal art, poems, etcetera. Look forward to it! :-)
This picture opposite displays the leaves starting to fall and turn rusty orange to dark brown, as if they are charred and lifeless; the branches black, thin and delicate against the clouded sky too slim to support them any longer. This starkness of the colours all distract the eye, the sheer beauty of it simply leaving you in awe.
After the colours of daylight comes the colours of the evening. Stunning sunsets as the light fades and dusk settles, the light falling away fast as if someone's pulled the plug. The harsh pink of the sky here, melting into the horizon, just shows the beauty of the sun setting. Again comes the soft oranges and red that reminds us of the season, and they show themselves prominently, not afraid to set the dried branches ablaze.
Could I get through a blogpost without mentioning my love for Lush? Of course not. And although, I admit, it's probably more of a wintry-themed bath bomb, I broke the rules and tried it earlier this week. I'll try and get round to a full-fledged review, but for now, let me just say the colours consisted of bright blues and white foam, swirling round in bubbles and glitter, like I was underwater and watching the snow fall on the surface.
I would say Frozen's array of colours were very relaxing, and the smell was lovely. Practically the opposite of the Experimenter bath bomb, to be honest - if you're looking for something relaxing, calming, stunning but simple and not eyesore, Frozen is your product. I say this, but sometimes I'm looking for something impressive and colourful that will uplift my mood and leave me fascinated, which means the Experimenter also works. I love both for different reasons!
As you are probably already informed if you follow my Instagram and have been reading my past blogposts, my daily intake of tea is usually two cups at least. I am not the type of person to rush the experience, which usually means by the time I tip the dregs of tea down my throat, it's stone-cold. Drinking tea fast just gives me hiccups and a burnt tongue, and who wants that?
I hope you've enjoyed this post!
