My Sort of Sundays

So, hey, this is Olivia (if you're reading this, you probably know me as @floatinginatincan, my Instagram), and this is my blog, faeriesque. I was really stuck about my blog name - I didn't want it to be the same as my Instagram, so I gave my followers on Instagram a challenge that would help me (although they weren't aware of it). I said, "Invent a word that describes me, and give a definition".
Although everyone's entries were wonderful, @fairybub (please give this spectacular lady a follow, she really deserves it) came up with faeriesque, and I loved it very much!

My breakfast this morning consisted of a pain
au chocolat, sliced red apple, and some
almond nuts.
Your first post is always hard I guess; knowing what to write, wanting to impress. This is basically what I do on a cloudy-sunny Sunday, drowsy from lack of sleep, but still in the right frame of mind to stuff. So first I had my breakfast, which I made myself quickly as it's very simple.
I'm not going to lie; this morning I wasn't
exactly in the chirpy, yay morning mood that all of my family seem to acquire. The sun had woken me up, filtering through my blinds, and was currently burning the inside of my eyelids a vibrant hue of red-orange.

HELL YEAH, I was the only one awake in the house, so I could make some breakfast. The kitchen is usually already occupied with my dad's famous fry-ups and cooking sausages - I despise greasy food in the mornings. The only thing I can manage that is warm is a croissant / pain au chocolat!
If you have a nut allergy, cranberries also work
well. This was accompanied by a cup of tea, and eaten
in the sunshine.

After breakfast, I decided I was in the mood for some arts and crafts (I am a lazy human bean so I don't make effort with these very often).

As a result, I don't make things as frequently as I draw things, but it's nice to customise certain things like clothing with personal stitches, badges etcetera. As you can see below, I made a couple of stitched felt creations (excluding the top right, which was given to me by the lovely @han.argh). I was thinking of sewing the sushi and 'FEMINIST' one to my kånken (which is black) but I haven't decided yet! What do you think I should do with them? (IF YOU WANT A DIY ON HOW TO MAKE THEM, LET ME KNOW ???)

If you're interested in what I used to make the patches, then here's a list:
  • Various colours of felt
  • Scissors
  • Coloured thread / string
  • An imagination! (I AM SO FUNNY, YAYAY) (shut up Olivia)
  • A label-maker (specifically for the 'FEMINIST' patch, or you can just embroil the text on the felt
  • Card & Felt Tips (used for the 'Just Peachy' text
  • Glue (I used glue to stick the parts of each patch together because I ran out of string, but you can stitch them as well, which personally I think looks a lot better!)

So they're my badges/patches!
from left to right: Just Peachy Patch, @han.argh's gift Avocado Angel Patch, Sushi Patch, FEMINIST Patch.

That's all for now, if you've actually bothered to read all of this then *virtual hug*
see ya later alligator!
lotta love, olivia.
